Our IELTS training workshops are geared towards individuals whose English are at Pre-Intermediate to Advanced level.  The workshops provide participants with an overview of the IELTS test including the test format and a guide to test results. This is followed by an analysis of the main features of each module, focusing mainly on those aspects which the students may find more difficult and provide strategies and techniques in dealing with the tasks and questions of the test. The workshop involves active participation between the trainer and participants and provides practical classroom activities to improve the students’ skills and performance in the test. There will be a mock test at the end of every course.

Why choose IELTS?

OET has been developed specifically for 12 healthcare professions: Dentistry, Dietetics, Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Radiography, Speech Pathology and Veterinary Science.

OET results are accepted as proof of English proficiency for visas, healthcare regulators, healthcare university courses and employment.

  • UK - accepted by the General Medical Council (GMC), Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), RCVS - Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and recently approved by the General Pharmaceutical Council.

  • For other Boards and Council that accepts OET, please click here

Tests simulate real workplace tasks, test relevant language skills for each profession and test materials reflect real healthcare scenarios. Healthcare professionals choose OET because it helps them to prove they have the right level of English for work or study, while also learning the kind of language they will need every day at work.

The passing grade in OET depends on the rules of the professional body you are applying for. Typically you will need a Grade B in the OET to work in the UK, with C+ in Writing for Nurses. Doctors applying for the UK Foundation Programme requires Grade B but a minimum score of 400 in each domain. Grade B is equivalent to IELTS band 7 and C1 level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
